To our Patrons, Family, and Friends,
As you may know, the recent torrential downpour from April 17th through April 18, 2013, caused massive flooding in many towns throughout the Chicagoland area especially in the Village of Lisle. Unfortunately, Lisle Lanes fell victim to the storm and suffered extensive flood damage. The flooding was so extensive that we were unable to assess the damage until the flood waters subsided, a full three days after the storm. Seeing the Lisle Lanes parking lot fully submerged was a difficult sight to see, but that sight was insignificant compared to extent of the interior damage. Flood water covered the entire 32 lanes and the pinsetters pits. Flood waters also affected the floor coverings in all areas of the building. Extensive repairs and replacements will have to be done.
Despite the devastation, we are grateful for the the love, support, and help of our friends, workers, bowlers, neighbors and everyone in one form or another, who not only stood by us, but also worked along side us to begin the long process of cleaning and restoring Lisle Lanes.
We estimate that Lisle Lanes will be closed through the summer and we plan to be in operation sometime in August, 2013. We are determined to rebuild Lisle Lanes just as everyone in the surrounding community affected by the storm plans to do so. Lisle Lanes has and will continue to serve as a second home to many; we are committed to remain a family oriented and a productive member of the community.
The financial costs to rebuild Lisle Lanes and the surrounding community will be enormous. Many of our bowlers, patrons and friends have expressed their desire to help. We do appreciate all help extended to Lisle Lanes.
